Industry representatives have the opportunity to apply for an Industry accreditation for the 19th Zurich Film Festival (28.09. – 8.10.23) starting on July 10, 2023.

*only for industry meet & greets where no further invitation is required
**not including Special Galas and Golden Icon Awards
Requirements
Swiss and international filmmakers and industry representatives can apply for a ZFF Industry accreditation. The prerequisite is proof of current professional activity in the film industry. Decisive for the proof are the activities of the last three years.
The Zurich Film Festival reserves the right to reject applications.
Eligible for accreditations are:
For INDUSTRY Professional & INDUSTRY Business
- Filmmakers (script, direction, production, sales/distribution, production design, camera, casting, costume, post-production, score) with a significant role in film projects that have already been screened at international festivals or have a commercial release.
- Actors with a leading or supporting role in at least one feature-length film, or two short films, that have already been screened at international festivals or have a commercial release.
- Individuals in curatorial or executive capacity for film festivals and/or cinemas.
- University or film school staff in a teaching capacity with a focus on film (script, direction, production).
For INDUSTRY Starter
- Students from Swiss and international film schools and universities currently enrolled in a course with a focus on film (script, direction, production).
- Graduates of Swiss and international film schools and universities who graduated within the last three years from a course with a focus on film (script, direction, production).
Proof:
For INDUSTRY Professional & INDUSTRY Business
- For members of ARF-FDS, GARP, IG oder SSFV: submission of a membership confirmation waives the need to provide further documents.
- For filmmakers and actors: submission of a detailed filmography/project list. The date and function/role must be evident. Proof can be provided via a link to a freely accessible film database or by submitting meaningful documents.
- For company employees and members of organisations: submission of a confirmation of the position in the specified company. Proof can be provided via a link to a current company website or by submitting meaningful documents.
For a discounted accreditation
- Members of associations: confirmation of membership in one of the listed professional associations. Proof can be provided via a link to a current association website or by submitting meaningful documents.
For INDUSTRY Starter
- Students: current confirmation of enrollment in a course with a focus on film (script, direction, production) at a university or film school.
- Graduates: graduation certificate of a course with a focus on film (script, direction, production) at a university or film school. The degree must have been completed no more than three years ago.
FAQs
How do I apply for an accreditation?
You can apply for a ZFF Industry acceditation online until September 11, 2023. To fill out the accreditation form, you must be loggd in to your perosnal MyZFF-Account.Please be aware of the applicable requirements for industry accreditations. The Zurich Film Festival reserves the right to reject applications.
Am I entitled to a discounted accreditation?
Members of the following professional associations have the possibility to apply for a discounted Industry accreditation, as long as the accreditation requirements are met.
When will I receive a feedback?
The Zurich Film Festival carefully reviews every successfully submitted application. Due to the large number of applications, this process may take a few days. After the review you will be informed aobut the decision by e-mail. Please make sure to also check your spam folder.
How do I pay for my accreditation?
All accreditations must be paid online by the payment deadline of September 18, 2023. Unpaid accreditations will be cancelled and must be re-applied for at the Industry Office during the festival. The usual extra fee of CHF 30.00 for late accreditations will be applied.
How do I get my Industry Badge?
Upon timely payment of your accreditation, the Industry Badge will be sent to the address used in the accreditation process (this only applies to persons with a business or private address in Switzerland). In all other cases, the Industry Badge can be collected from the Industry Office once the festival starts. The accreditation confirmation and proof of identity must be shown when collecting the badge.
I missed the accreditation deadline. Can I still apply for an industry accreditation?
Late accreditations can be applied for on-site at the Industry Office and incur an extra fee of CHF 30.00. All applications will be reviewed on-site, which may take some time and lead to waiting times. Please have the relevant supporting documents ready. If your application is accepted, the accreditation must be paid diretly on-site. Only cashless payments are accepted.
I cannot attend. Can I transfer my accreditation to a colleague?
No, ZFF Industry accreditations are not transferable.
A colleague is unable pick up their registration in person. Can I pick it theirs up as well?
In order to pick up a colleague's accreditation, you need their accreditation confirmation as well as a written permission to pick up their accredition on their behalf.
I cannot attend. Can I cancel my accreditation?
Refunds for Industry accreditations that have already been paid for are only possible until the accreditation deadline of September 18, 2023 by sending a written cancellation to industry(at)zff.com.
